Augustus (27 BC - 14 AD) with Agrippa. AE As, Nemausus mint, c. 16 -10 BC. Obv. Heads of Agrippa, wearing combined rostral crown and laurel wreath, to left and Augustus, bare, to right, back to back; IMP above, DIVI F below. Rev. Crocodile right, chained to palm with wreath at top; two palm branches at base; COL NEM across field. RIC I (2nd ed.) 155; RPC I 523. 10.61 g. 24.00 mm. Deep green brown patina. Some weakness on reverse, otherwise. VF. The types commemorate the victory over Mark Antony and Cleopatra and capture of Egypt by Augustus and Agrippa.
