Antoninus Pius (138-161). AE Sestertius, 156-157 AD. Obv. Laureate bust right, with drapery on far shoulder. Rev. Securitas seated left, left elbow on cornucopiae, holding sceptre. RIC III 967; C. 1008. 22.65 g. 32.00 mm. A superb example, with a masterly engraved portrait. Dark green patina, gently smoothed. Slightly rough surfaces, otherwise about EF.
